With all of the media in the world, it’s clear that everyone is a geek about something. Over 30 million tickets are sold at anime and comic conventions each year in North America alone. Unfortunately, fandom conversation currently doesn’t have a home platform, so we are all forced to find the fragmented experiences on other platforms.
QuirkChat is a video social networking mobile app for fandom commentary. Our main feature on QuirkChat is Quips, which are 60-second commentary videos that start threads. Other users can then add their quips to the thread, similar to video reposting.
We are proudly backed by Techstars (W21) and Snap Inc. We also have excellent investors and advisors from prominent social media companies. Our goal is to be the home of conversation for vertical niche communities and change how this generation “talks geek.”
